At the end of each year, we hold our annual holiday gathering to celebrate our accomplishments and enjoy the company of one another outside of work. This year's event was held on December 2, 2022. where awards were presented to community and department members for Distinguished Community Partner of the Year, Civilian Employee of the Year, and Police Officer of the Year.
Congratulations to the UCLA Police Department 2022 Award Recipients:
UCPD Distinguished Community Partner: Chris Silva
Awarded to the community member who demonstrates the ability to work in tandem with the police department to achieve the university's mission.
Civilian Employee of the Year: Monica Jeong
The award is presented annually to a full-time civilian employee with 1-year minimum employment with the UCLA Police Department who demonstrates exemplary performance on the job.
Police Officer of the Year: Frank Bobo
This prestigious award is based on the individual's performance of duties demonstrating the highest standards of competence and professionalism.
